چکیده
Background The spatial normalization (SN) of individual mouse brain PET or MRI onto template space is one prerequisites for precise quantitative analysis positron emission tomography (PET) brains. This has recently been exploited by deep learning-based approaches, but still challenging. Moreover, most them are based on SN using MR templates, which not always available in both clinical and preclinical studies. Method In this study, we propose a new only PET-based image generation approach to resolve MR-less problem. We generated individual-brain-specific cortical volumes-of-interest (VOI) inverse-spatial-normalization (iSN) convolutional neural network (deep CNN) models with input images instead images. applied the proposed methods mutated amyloid precursor protein presenilin-1 model Alzheimer’s disease. Eighteen mice underwent T2-weighted F-18 FDG scans twice, before after administration human immunoglobulin antibody-based treatments. Specifically, skull-stripped were used as inputs iSN-based (target) cerebellar (reference) VOIs labels. compared our CNN-based VOI conventional (template-based) qualitative (visual) assessment correlation mean SUVR (i.e., uptake normalized uptake) estimated methods. Result visual assessment, there was no visible difference between template-based VOI. count obtained highly significantly (P<0.001) correlated target cortex). Conclusion Since method successfully VOI, showing concordant results that analysis, believe have established without also MR.

Not Only What, but Also How Matters Introducing Procedural Utility: Not Only What, but Also How Matters
People not only care about outcomes, they also value the procedures which lead to the outcomes. Procedural utility is a potentially important source of human well-being. This paper aims at introducing the concept of procedural utility into economics, and argues that it should be incorporated more widely into economic theory and empirical research. Three building blocks of a concept of procedura...
متن کاملComparison of state-of-the-art atlas-based bone segmentation approaches from brain MR images for MR-only radiation planning and PET/MR attenuation correction
Introduction: Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging has emerged as a valuable tool in radiation treatment (RT) planning as well as Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging owing to its superior soft-tissue contrast. Due to the fact that there is no direct transformation from voxel intensity in MR images into electron density, itchr('39')s crucial to generate a pseudo-CT (Computed Tomography) image ...
متن کاملExploratory fMRI Analysis without Spatial Normalization
We present an exploratory method for simultaneous parcellation of multisubject fMRI data into functionally coherent areas. The method is based on a solely functional representation of the fMRI data and a hierarchical probabilistic model that accounts for both intersubject and intra-subject forms of variability in fMRI response. We employ a Variational Bayes approximation to fit the model to the...

متن کاملPregnancy in a Breastfeeding Mouse without Mating
In this report, a rare case of pregnancy in a mouse without mating and during breastfeeding is presented. Out-bred NMRI mice were prepared for mating. Two female mice without superovulation were caged with one male. The next morning, vaginal plaque was not detected; therefore, females were kept in the cage with the same male for 4 more days. One of the females delivered 4 offspring: one female ...
